Rodrigo Garay

MBA Warwick University, UK. Rodrigo has extensive experience in senior positions within organizations in Sweden and internationally. Rodrigo has served as the Executive Director for the International AIDS Society, the World Infection Fund, and Accountability International. Additionally, Rodrigo has initiated several businesses, such as Fintech Ponture and the coaching company Diversitas. Rodrigo also brings vast experience in advisory and interim assignments. Rodrigo holds a position as a Senior Lecturer at Jönköping University in the field of entrepreneurship and sustainability.

Mats Ahnlund

Mats is since January 2017 the Accountability International Responsible for Finance & Operations. He is also senior partnership advisor to the IUFRO World Congress 2024. He is currently supporting the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety as a Senior Advisor. Before this he was the Deputy Executive Director of the International AIDS Society and he started his employment with the IAS as Conference Director in 2003, running one of the largest medical conferences, the International AIDS Conference, normally with 15.000–25.000 participants. Other assignments include making a financial sustainability plan for the International Union against TB and Lung disease. He is of Swedish origin, living and working in Switzerland for international NGOs since 1992.

Carl-Olof Bouveng

Lawyer admitted to practice in Sweden and New York. Carl-Olof has more than 30 years of legal practice in the field of commercial law including also not-for-profit activities. It includes contracts, governance and regulatory matters. He has represented a number of NGOs as well as publicly and privately held companies. Carl-Olof has vast experience of cross-border issues and works in close contact with a large network of international lawyers (in all) around the globe. Carl-Olof is a past Chair of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Emily Blitz

Emily has more than two decades of managing in-person conferences on six continents for up to 26,000 participants. She has knowledge of the programmatic, political and logistical requirements of delivering multi-stakeholder events. She was Global Director of Conferences and Summits at The Union and was Director of Conferences at the International AIDS Society. She has consulted on event strategy and management with a number of organisations including the WHO, UNICEF, UNAIDS, the Asian Development Bank, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Gavi, and, most recently, Vital Strategies’ Partnership for Healthy Cities Summits and the NCD Alliance.

Peter Åberg

Peter has more than twenty years of experience as an organizational developer and leadership manager. Has developed successful organizations and leadership and held positions as CEO, Marketing and Sustainability Director from start-up to listed companies in medical technology, steel manufacturing, private schools and service companies. Within public operations, Peter has developed organizations within Regions, Municipalities, and Government departments as Head of Administration and Operations. Within healthcare as Clinical director for doctors and administrative staff.

Has most recently been CEO for a recruitment company and was named Dagens Industris Supergasell two years in a row as Sweden’s fastest growing company in all categories. Peter develops also international sustainability standards, ISO, within leadership and organization and is a UN representative in Sweden for sustainable business developments.
